Last Saturday...

Boy I have been busy!  The trunk show for Matilda Jane is over.  I made a bunch of new stuff for that.  I will be posting it both at my Etsy Store as well as on my Facebook Page.  Yea!  Check them out!  Big fat thanks to my mom who gave me a nice head start!

Before it gets too far off I want to back to last Saturday... because it was a really great day!  We started it off with a breakfast, bought by a neighbor, really what could be better than a free breakfast?  Paula and I packed up our kids and drove to Applebee's where we ate pancakes and bacon for a fundraiser breakfast.  It was a great way to begin our day!

Really I don't know how the rest of the day went for my family... I assume well.  I took off!  Molly, Eliza and I drove to Erie, PA to visit our friend Stacey and my new friend Charlie!  We enjoyed chatter all the way there.  We picked up Stacey, toured her house, I'd not been there yet, then headed out shopping.  We started with lunch at Chick-fil-A.  Sounds lame, but we do not have it in Buffalo, so it was actually quite the treat... AND they had diet Dr Pepper to boot!  Yum!

Charming Charlie was the first place we hit. When I'd seen Stacey a few months ago she had an A.DOR.able bag. One look and I wanted to hit this store! It did not disappoint! As we walked in, after the heavens sang, we all drooled and started touching.  Will Molly beat me for posting this pic?  Nah, she never checks my blog anyway!!  :)  This is how I felt!  Sniffing, touching, drooling!  Accessories as far as the eye can see, all divided into color.  Perfect!

We shopped and shopped!  It was glorious!  So much fun!  I snagged some hats, jewels, a couple of dresses, belts, because we know how I feel about belts!  Oh how I love shopping!

We left there and had to make a stop for Stacey.  We happened into Papaya and, got some clothes!
Now, we were on a time restriction!  Shannon was having her White Elephant party back home and we committed to being there.  As it was looking though, we were going to be late!
Now, the one thing that I really wanted was a cute bag.  Charlie's didn't come through.  Good thing I spotted one elsewhere.  I was a little hesitant, but went for it anyway... love this new buddy of mine...

We stopped for a quick pic as we dropped Stacey off.  It was so great to be with her, to see her beautiful home... she is an amazing decorator!  We get to see her again this weekend!  Love good friends!

More good visits on the way home.  I called our babysitter and changed our time since we ran late.  When we got home we ran over to the white elephant party in time to exchange gifts.  It was a great group of people.  I gave my deep fryer that has never been used, and a couple of bags.  Since we were the last guests we got to pick items last... that worked out well!  I chose these blocks of wood, yes.  You just wait to see what I can make with these!

Matt was the very last to choose.  I thought he may go for the weather almanac, brainiac that he is.  Nope.  He went for the fragile' leg lamp from 'The Christmas Story'!  I came downstairs the next morning and he'd already put it up!  It totally works too!
It was either here or in the nativity! :)  As long as none of the 4 boys in my house start stroking this little leg I'm fine with it here!

More posting soon.  I've been working on some things!
