Start Small

Oh, my.

It has been too long and it seems too big a job to update this blog.

I will start small.

This morning I was raking all of the blasted vines/sticks that fall from our willow tree... don't get me started there, it deserves it's own post... love the tree, but it doesn't belong in our back yard! Our next home will not have a willow tree!

Anyway, my little O was jumping on the trampoline and said mom, mom, you are raking the leaves, are you building a nest for the birds? I had a large pile going, and it did look like a giant nest! He then told me all about nests and mommy bird eggs and baby bird eggs. It was a treat for me while I was raking.

Q has been home from school since Wednesday. I took her in to the doctor today, she has infections in both ears. Poor kid. We are clean out of Tylenol, ibuprofen all of it, and she needed some this morning. I ran to the store after I raked. I was a vision of beauty with my old makeup and pajamas. As I walked in the door and said I have some Tylenol she looked at me and said, did you really wear that to the store? Hmmm. I know I don't like to be seen like this, but can we appreciate WHY I went to the store looking like THIS!!!

G has his second baseball game tonight. We thought he might be rained out, but it has turned out to be a very nice day. Last week we all went to his first game, that wasn't cancelled could've. It was so cold that day! Here is our little man at his first game. He has a very good dad, that will be at all of his games cheering him on.

He had some issues with his helmet fitting over his head!

Stop to pick it up!

And, story of his life... shoes untied.

Home plate! Yea!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Matt surprised me on Friday. I had a dental apt so he was going to take the kids, but he went ahead and had cute Melissa watch our kids in the morning so he could take me to breakfast, then shopping. It was pretty great, I'm not going to lie! All I want is to feel special and I sure did! After my dental apt he had planned for me to go get a massage, for 1 hour and 20 minutes! It was DEEEElightful! It was a great day. I loved it. On Sunday Matt cooked us a great dinner and I enjoyed gifts from the kids. Q was in my room right when I woke up to tell me happy Mother's Day. G needed to be reminded! It was fabulous! I love being a mom, it is what I've always wanted to be and I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful family that loves me. I'm so appreciative to be able to stay home with them, it really is the best job I could have.

Quick love note to my mom... love you... thanks for being so wonderful to me. I'm glad I am yours, and that I have you. You have taught me many lessons and I continue to look to you for example and friendship. You are the most beautiful woman I know. Kisses!
