Hide Chapping and Fuchsia Pants

Things that really chap my hide:

- Finding gum in the carpet (was stretching downstairs after my run and sure enough, blue gum all smushed and stuck in the carpet)

- Buying something, thinking 'there is now way that will fit me, it looks too big', and it turns out... fits like a glove.

- Telling my kid to do the same thing literally 5 times.  You'd think he'd want to put his backpack away in the correct manner, all cleaned out and tucked away, so he didn't have to keep coming up stairs... to do the same thing 5 times!

- Bunk bed bedding.  I love having bunk beds for the space, I hate making those beds, it's hard!  I hate that it's hard for my kids to make their beds, they never look clean.  This morning I walked in and all of E's bedding was on the floor.  So, I get to make it, again...

- Filling out paperwork.  Despise it.  I haven't been to the OB since I had E!  I have to fill out all of the new patient paper work, oh, and have it there 24 hours prior to my visit.  If I were on top of things I'd have mailed it in by now, my visit is tomorrow and looks like driving it over is my option.  Chaps my hide!

- That I get jealous.  I really hate that feeling, and don't feel it often.  I have to talk myself down... other people being successful, doesn't mean I'm a failure.  Am I happy with where I am?  Yes.  Good, be happy for them too.  No?  Then change it... and for crying out loud be happy for them!  We all deserve praise and I like the feeling when I'm being supportive far better than the one of me being jealous.

Lest you think I'm a Debbie Downer, there have also been plenty of things to be happy about around here, what would that be?  The Vaseline on my leather?  Or supple of my skin?  What is the opposite of hide chapping?

- Got to spend all morning yesterday with a sweet little newborn.  She photographed SO well, it made me 1) adore being a photographer and 2) think for a moment that I want to specialize in newborns... but then I remembered that I also love weddings, and families, and children, and seniors.  No specializing!  Be sure to like CCMcAfeePhotography on FB.  I'll be posting some peeks later today.

- We leave in just a couple of days... We've not told our kids yet, we'll make the big announcement on V-day.  I have some plans to write a hidden message between all of their Pez candies.  They'll have to work together to put the sentence together... where we are going.  It hasn't hit me yet, because we haven't been able to really talk about it.  I'll start packing soon, and it may feel more real.  I'll be packing shorts, and that will be such a nice change from our snow parkas!  Our destination is Orlando, FL... if that gives you any indication.

- I have great friends that help me out.

- I was on this week at dance, minus my last time through our combination.  A hair flew into my eye and threw me off in all sorts of crazy ways.  I couldn't dance through it!  Weird that I'm doing everything better on my left as of late.  I even feel like my left extension is getting better than my right!  I've got some crazy hip issue that seems to be affecting me lifting my leg.

- I had a recent sale at my CCMakesStuff store.  It just makes me happy, it does!

Ok, let's get on to what I've been wearing...
Here are more goodies, from my shopping spree!
Did you know fuchsia is my most favorite color... and I still can't spell it?  Yep.  Appropriate that I'd buy a pair of corduroy pants in this color right?
It's hard to see, but this cardi has metallic thread running through it so it sparkles a bit, can always use some sparkle, I can!
