February has come and gone

Oh, just one little blog post in the love-filled February, where is the love!? I can do better than that! I will go back and review though...

First, my goals for February...
* paint front hall - have the paint and will hopefully do it this weekend. DONE
* continue daily study/blogging. DONE, ALTHOUGH NOT AS FAITHFUL ON PHOTOS AS JANUARY.
* get new cuffs and necklaces made and posted. NOPE!
* finish December pages. NOPE! * not to buy ANY new clothes for myself, for the whole month. It will be tough! DONE (MOSTLY... MATT GOT ME A NICE GIFT CARD FOR V-DAY... I DON'T THINK THAT COUNTS)

FEBRUARY IN A GLANCE
- Ended January with haircuts.  There was serious drama w/ E.  Made me wonder why I cut their hair!  If I can just bear the screaming for a few minutes... ahhh!  They've flipped w/ who hates it more, right now it is E.
- O has been wanting a mohawk, don't know where he got that from.  He looks way cute w/ it.  Random days he'll come to me requesting that hair style!

- Took Sunday morning pictures of these two boys. I used to take them monthly. I realized it has been maybe a year! I took them this month.
- O came up one Sunday evening crying. He had gotten himself stuck in this little wreath! I don't know how he got it around his waist. It was hard getting it off of him! He is funny. He is covering his eye because he was being a pirate.
- Watched the Lewis kids while sweet Melissa went to nurse her grandma. It was a half day at school so we had the boys for a lot of the day. They had a great time playing, especially the wii, together!
- G and I went to the baptism preview. He gets baptized soon. It was nice being out with just him. I spoke to the little gals that are coming into activity days and left an impression I guess as I called them my little sproutlets. We have a big group of the sweetest gals. I enjoy being with them!
- I got to go in and read w/ Q's class. Read 'The Ink Drinker'. It was hit w/ both genders. It is a great book. Love the few moments I get to go in. I brought the boys w/ me. I think it is fun for big siblings to show off the little siblings, they put on quite the show!
- Hosted playgroup here. Big deal since I can hardly get to them! It seems Wednesday is my only day to actually stay home and get stuff done, which is also the day of playgroup. I loved having everyone over, it was great to visit ladies I hardly get to see.
- I also cut Joley's hair this month! It is funny because I don't consider myself a cosmetologist by any means. I was taught to cut hair though. I cut my husbands hair for years, I cut all of my kids hair as well as my own. She just needs a simple cut so I can totally do it!
- I tried skyrobics w/ Damita this month. We had a great time! I totally sweat my buns off! It was good to work my upper body, which is where I really felt it. My arms were sore for days! It felt good to jump. There was a point where he told us to jump as high as we could, I got a little rush from that!
- I painted our entry and stairway/upstairs hall. I need to take the 'after' pictures. I did get this one though. Went from brown to grey. Love the change, just need to add some yellow.
- Went VTing. - Still going to institute on Thursday's. I enjoy it.
- Stripped wallpaper one Saturday to help with the VanRy home makeover. Damita and Katie did such a great job, the house looks so good!
- Taught RS, this month on our testimony of Jesus Christ. Learning about faith in a more specific way.
- Made valentines with the kids. Q just wanted a printout to go with heart shaped fruit snacks. For G we made little airplanes. I designed a little fishbowl for O since I couldn't find a printable. We had a good time making our stuff. I made pencils out of Rolo's for the teachers. Find all ideas in my Be Mine board here at PINTEREST
We opened little gifts that night. I got the kids chocolates and puzzles. Q got some shoes, G got a new DS game, O&E got a new leapster game. I got a nice gift card from M and he got a new body pillow from me.

- The kids had a week off from school. It went by pretty quick actually! Monday the 20th we were all at home. I got to go for a nice long run, Matt went bird watching. Tuesday I took the kids to McDonald's for lunch and let them play in the play yard (never do, it's a big deal) we topped that off w/ ice cream. Q and I had AD that night. Wednesday we stayed home. Q had a play date w/ Bella. Thursday we went to the movies (Chipwrecked) with the Nestico's. Played after. Friday was going to take the kids swimming, but G had a playdate w/ Simon, then we had a baptism that night. It totally flew by!
- I've been working on hair pieces for the dance studio. Animals. They are turning out very cool. I'll post photos on the craft blog. Also, have made some jewelry and hair pins, rosettes, some wall collages for the home.
- I've finished Cort's solo, glad to be able to clean now. Still working on my dance. Enjoying ballet more than when I first started!
- Matt and I went out w/ the Lewis'. We went to this black history appreciation night hosted by M&T bank. It was pretty cool, music, food, poetry, story telling. Sucked that I left my purse there at the theater, but we did find it after a day! I just can't figure how to turn the ring back on my phone!
- Matt has been able to make it home on Monday's. It's nice to not have to take the kids to the studio. His scheduled has regulated a bit. He's been working out at Fitness 19 and has lost almost 30 lbs. He's rockin' it! He has also had a flattering experience initiated by the bank. He's rockin' that too! February has been a good, short month! And, of course I'm posting this in March, which is flying by too! Maybe I can post about this month before it's gone!
