It feels like we are old friends, I met these two so long ago!
This was a wedding I felt like I really knew the bride and groom because I did their engagement shoot the year prior to their wedding.  It is still one of my all time favorite shoots... check it out HERE.

Their day came and I was there as the bride pulled up to the church with her crew to start getting ready...

Getting Ready...
I love this part of wedding day.  I love seeing how people interact with each other.  I love watching the build up, seeing the nerves, watching the excitement, it's quite a cool thing I get to just walk in and be part of it.  I stayed with the girls for a while as they chattered and more loved ones arrived to be part of the scene.

Fortunately the boys weren't too far away and I bounced back and forth.
Now, I felt bad for Tim, not because it was his wedding day!!! :)  But because if anyone hates attention on them, it's this guy!  And wedding day is all about YOU!!!  He is quite shy and I'm glad I got to know him prior to the wedding so he could be comfortable with me all up in his grill all day long!!!

I love this shot!  We were getting ready to start and I was back with the bride.  NO crying, they both said as they looked at each other!  Laughs instead, then a tender moment.

Funny moments like dad saying that mom is giving bride away, not him!  Laughter.  I love it!

In memory of those that could only be there in spirit.  Never forgotten, but missed.

Sweet sister sang a beautiful song... who knew she could sing too.  It was very tender.  I tell you it is a struggle to shoot through eyes that are wet with tears!  I'm a baby, I need to toughen up a bit for these weddings, I keep getting choked up!

This is quite the amazing shot if I do say so!  I love the bubbles, no photoshop there folks, that was all luck of the draw.  Love the photo with the phone, the little finger trying to pop the bubble, the kiss, it's just a really great shot.  Puffy heart this one!

On to the bridals.  We went to a restaurant on the lake.  I love the boats in the background.  We ran to the pier then back to the gazebo for shots of the bridal party.  Oh the wind, BUT the rain cleared and we had sun, so ok, we'll deal with the wind.

The Reception...
Now, I've been to a few receptions, but never have I attended one that began with a bride dancing Irish Jig.  I am a dancer, maybe that is why I was touched.  It felt different than some choreographed wedding numbers, it was breathtaking, beautiful.  I cried.  I was totally surprised by my emotions with this one!  These ladies were beautiful, this was possibly my favorite part of the reception... um maybe...

I'm not the only one who was touched...

Cake... does anyone smash anymore?  I know I didn't want that at my wedding!  These two were very kind to each other!

On to the dances.  Bride/father dance stole the show!  Slow and tender at first, then daddy daughter bustin' a move!  So fun, so light hearted!

On to the party!  The boys had some time outside 'celebrating' and there was much dancing, laughter, cheering and good times inside!

I don't know about other photographers, but it is SO hard for me to stand still when this part of the night starts!  I love to boogie and when the music starts I just can't help myself!  I've kept myself professional and contained, but I explained that to cute Mamma Lynn at this wedding and she invited me to dance!  THANK YOU!  I've been dying to!  We had a great time shakin' our thang's on the floor!  She is so great and I just fell in love with that cute woman!

I had such a great time at this wedding.  Two wonderful families, a beautiful day full of laughter and tears.  I am so honored to have been part of it.  To give back a record of things from my perspective.  Tim and Jessi I hope to see more of you in the future.  Best of luck love, to both of you beautiful people!
