Chalkboard Everything!

I love having a ton of stuff on hand, like chalkboard paint.
Two of the last few events I've thrown I've used chalkboard paint for something!

I needed accent blocks on each table for the ward Christmas party.
Chalkboard paint on wood blocks was a quick easy way to add a little something.
Serious, I made a bunch in 30 minutes!

Now I can use them to label food dishes, as holiday decor, limitless really!

Another project was to create this chalkboard on an old window.
I really do have several old windows in my basement!
I pick stuff up on the side of the road all of the time!

Anyway, I used this one to display instructions on how to make your own Italian Soda.
Cute right?  Love how it turned out!

Back before I had my two little boys, their room was a play room (2006).
I had the bottom part painted with chalkboard and they loved using it... so did our bbsitters!

I currently have a chalkboard in our kitchen message center.
We like to write messages on it, Q does art there for our family, but we really don't use it a ton.
See how I made this message center HERE.

I've always thought I'd want to bring back a giant chalkboard in the playroom.
Currently in the basement/playroom, the kids use the chalkboard easel.

I think my mind may be changing as I think about our new house.  Q really is the only one who does chalkboard, plays school etc.  She really is growing out of that.  I don't know that I will do much chalkboard in our next house.

I AM all about having it on mobile things I can decorate with, like the first items above.
If it's on a window, or piece of wood I can move that around to where I want it.
I can take it outside and list out a welcome or menu items etc.

Are you a chalkboard fan?
Do you have a wall or prefer smaller items?
