New to My Closet

Oh, the winter...
This has been a good winter!
Like many out there I am eager for brighter colors, warmer weather, more sunshine...

I've been in a little bit of a funk.
It's amazing what a few new pieces of clothing can do for my soul!
I went bright, ready for spring.
I've also switched my closet from fall/winter to spring/summer.
It feels good!  Hope that spring is right around the corner... and if not, at least I look like it is!

I had to run some other errands, but clothing purchases came from Target and Marshalls.  Everything was clearance except that gray and lace number.  I'm on a budget people!
Wannna see?

My butt doesn't quite fit into those pink pedal pushers, but I have hope!
See, the effects of spring and my purchases... hope!

Love this tissue, coral sweater... and SO love the gray w/ lace...

I feel like a little bit of mint in my life.  I went for shoes.  Q loved these animal print guys... $5!

Could you die?  These ties are at Target for $1.  NOT kidding!

I got these for fun...

I also got myself some new running shorts... clearance $5.  I'm sure they'll make me run faster!

I've added swimming into my workouts.  Wednesdays I double up w/ a run and a swim.  I need practice.  I got this suit for training.  Do you own any one piece suits anymore?  I don't, used to have a bunch.  I'm all about the tankini.

Today I'm sporting my cute neon sweatshirt from above.  I love the lace overlay.  It has been a while since I've worn tennies.  Tennies are different than my running shoes obviously, which I wear about every day!  That is how these look brand spankin' new!

Now, I have many blogging buddies, blogs that I follow that are fashion oriented.  And, these girls are adorable, and have all of these fabulous photos of themselves.  It's like a photo shoot for each outfit!  I'm a photographer, of course I feel most comfortable behind my camera.

I tried this today, don't know why!   I busted out the tripod, took a couple of shots outside.   I jumped in front of the camera... and I felt like a fool!  That just is not how I roll!  Can't do it!  These self portrait mirror shots is all I can offer!  That way I'm both behind and in front of the camera!  I don't even have to show my face if I don't want!

But, I thought I'd throw in the token 'laughing shot', and the somber 'looking down shot'!  I can do these too all by myself!

I do quite enjoy this shot.  Love that the focus is on the lens.  We see ourselves so differently than the camera does, don't you think?

I have a bit of life injected back into my system.  Sometimes change is so good!
