New Things

Well, since it's a new year we are injecting much NEW into our lives!
New goals and commitments to each other and ourselves, new items we'd like to accomplish for the year, a new budget, you know the basics.

I love the feeling of starting fresh and new. Lately I've been going through rooms, rearranging furniture, painting, redecorating, I'm sure much of this has to do with me also being preggers, but I love the changes, they feel new and satisfying.

In 2008 we did a ton to this house. We put on a new roof, put in a new driveway, replaced trim and floorboards, got ourselves a whole new kitchen, did some painting and replaced some doors. That is a lot of money and a lot of work! For 2009 we want to take it easy! We will redo our upstairs bathroom, possibly the master too, paint the basement and maybe replace a few windows. Small bites while trying to enjoy life too!

So speaking of the house and things I've changed... our upstairs playroom will now house two little boys! Since we decided to put them together in there I couldn't stand it each time I walked in there and saw pink!!! I painted before Christmas and I love how it turned out! There is of course no decor yet and it's not quite arranged, but I'm loving it and I'm excited to put it together... little bites Carolyn!!!
Here is how it looked shortly after I painted it way back in 12/2006...

I did a little portion of wall in 'chalkboard'. The kids loved it, but it is no more, at least there.

Here is the now photo...

Other new things in my life...
-Shaggy bangs. I'm into them!

-Big hoop earrings, thanks to my friend Marci!
-My calling at church. It was hard to leave primary, but I am soooo excited for this new call. It's perfect for where I am right now.
-Scrap supplies, thanks to my huge shopping trip last weekend! I so have no need for supplies, but that doesn't deter me at all from a killer deal!
-A giant clock and PB-esqe lanterns.
-A new two week schedule for the doctor. Seriously, I wish I didn't feel the sheer inconvenience of this! Am I already there? Serious? Here is the last belly photo I took on December 29.

-And finally a new word. I love Ali Edwards and the 'one little word' challenge. My word for this year is BELIEVE.
