Our Life Lately...

Our life lately... in photos.

I want to write about us.  I want to photograph us.  I want to remember us!

I have spent hours trying to figure out how to get memory keeping back into my life!
I know that I want to do better.  I know I have limited time.  I know I will forget if I don't record here and now.  What things are really important to remember?  How does that all play into this blog here of mine?  Hours I tell you!  I want to be as efficient as I can.  I want to cover as much as I can.  I am on the computer a lot, but I still desire to play with paper and design with my hands.
What is a girl to do?

I have decided...
- to create family stuff digitally and print off books
- to format and design as simple as possible
- to create a page every couple of weeks showing the little things that are current for each child
- to take more pictures of us

I have decided...
- to get my creative fix doing all of my personal stuff with paper
- to switch around how I do planning and journaling to keep memories better
- this is important to me and deserves more of my attention
- this is a great Sunday evening activity

Here are some of the tools I'll be using for digital stuff
- Ali Edwards digital templates - (buy here) these are taken from her 'day in the life series'.  They are 8.5x11 templates which work for my book size.  I like that I can fit all sorts of images on there, as well as some feature photos.

- Ali Edwards digital sentiments - love these ones, and got these ones too.  I can create text and such, but I also love her handwriting and these are just ready to go for me.

I love this idea and format of recording little bits of life in a simple way.  It is all of those little things that make our lives our stories.

This month, at least, black and white is what I'll use, again... simple = managable!
I found cute downloads at Persnickety Prints, and I've already created a couple of things for myself.

Here are some samples of easy pages created for our family book.

I have a whole different system for myself, for my story.
I'll share that another time, soon!

Do you scrapbook?  How do you keep your memories?  Do you feel like it's important?
