Little Girl Plaque Wall Hangers

As I was pulling stuff off the walls, prepping for our move, I photographed these little wall hangers I made for my Q way back when we did her room, when she was so little!

I don't think I ever shared this project.  It was easy.

I believe at this time there weren't nearly as many options for cute hangers as there are now.

I used 3 flat plaques found at the craft store.
I painted the outsides of them white and distressed them a little.

I cut out cute scrapbook paper to match her room.  I traced the outline of the plaque shape and cut on the inside of the line.

I used ModPodge to adhere the paper, as well as protecting it with a layer on top.

I purchased cute drawer pulls, drilled a hole in each plaque and screwed the pulls in.

You can see that we just screwed these into studs.  There is a slight space between the plaque and the wall, due to the back of the drawer pulls.

They have been hanging in her room since 2006.  CrA-ZaE!!!
She has hung everything from bags to necklaces on these.

It's funny to see how short they look now.  When we first put them up they were right at arms reach for her.  Ughhh.  Time stop moving. :(

She is SO beyond excited to get a new room, a fresh start.
We have new perspective now, she's entering teen years.  Her room will be very different than it is now.
