Gold Skirt, Oxblood Booties and New Rainboots

It has been a while since I've posted what I'm wearing.

Quite honestly I've been evaluating just about everything regarding this blog here.  One of those elements is this very thing... what I'm wearing.

My word for 2015 is purpose.
Let me tell you I have thought and thought about the purpose of this here blog and the role I want it to play in my life, does it serve a purpose for me, for others?
I have thought about this particular element... what I'm wearing.

I love fashion, I love personal style, I love getting dressed, being creative with my clothes.  It's not deep, I don't know that it's all that inspiring, but it is a part of me, and in the end I want this place to be a reflection of me, who I am, things I love.  So, I guess I'll proceed with 'what I'm wearing'.

I do love dressing up on Sunday's.
Aaaand if I'm totally honest, Sunday is about the only day I've been getting 'dressed' lately, especially since Christmas break!  Bring on the sweats!

I bought this gold skirt from Marshalls a couple years ago, I got this sweater at Ann Taylor Loft last year, and wore it for the first time here!  I love the texture of this sweater and the gold skirt goes perfectly with it.  Do you love these shoes too?  They are fun, like tying your feet in gift wrap!

I got all of this stuff this year.  I love this lace skirt, I wore it a bunch over the summer.  I recently added these oxblood booties to my shoe collection, they add some interest I think.

Another skirt I got this summer, same shopping trip actually (in UT).  I paired this pencil skirt with a loose fitting top and my furry cardigan.

I love this asymmetrical hemmed sweater so much that I bought two of them!  One cream and one red.  I needed new rain boots too this year so I picked these up at Burlington for a whole $10!  You can't see, but they are pinstriped.

PS: My mom arrived today!  We are all so excited to have her here for a couple of weeks.  We sat down to chat, in the kitchen, where we have a puzzle started.
She and I started puttering with the puzzle... three hours later... still working on that puzzle!!!  Worked right through dinner.  It's our first puzzle together, we may now be addicted!
