New Elf on The Shelf-ers

Last year we told our two oldest kids about Santa.
It was actually a very cool experience, dare I say spiritual, in a way.
We let these two share in the magic of giving as they helped us prepare everything Christmas Eve (when we told them).
Read about that HERE.

Here we are a year later...
The magic is still alive for them!  It has been fun to watch them encourage the little two to get excited for Christmas.

One of the best parts of them 'being in the know' is now I don't have to do elf on the shelf!!!!
Oh. my. gosh.

We have laughed together as I've told them how glad I am to pass this tradition off to them!
I am awful at this!  Now they know why Elfred never moved every single day!
I could never remember to move him.
I'm totally not into all the craziness that surrounds this little guy.  In fact if Grandma hadn't bought him for us, he still may not be in existence at our house!!!

Our cute little Elfred now has new life!
This next generation is all about moving him every night... and asking the little's if they found him.
They ask me every day what the reaction was to finding him!

It will be fun to record how creative they get... or not!  That is perfectly fine too!

I love it!
I love that I don't have to do it!
I love that these two want to (they alternate nights).
I love that they are involved and excited about making Christmas magical for our family!
Yes, this may be a great tradition... my kids sharing the magic of Christmas with each other.

What about you?
Do you have an elf?
In the case that you do... check out my friend Jane.  She is crazy in the most creative way with the little elf that lives at her house!  Great ideas!  Go see!
