WIW... Cuttin' It Off

Today is the last day of school for my Pre-k guy and my middle school girl.
I can't believe my baby boy is going into Kindergarten.  He is so excited!
The other 2 boys have 2 more days of half days... such a waste!

I have gone into a nesting mode.  I like to sort of deep clean things before we head out for the summer, so I'm finishing up projects, laying out clothes, throwing away papers...

It seems like it has taken us forever to get to this point in the year, mostly because the weather has fooled us by not feeling like summer yet.

We have just a week and a half left before we head to UT for 6 weeks!  I'm excited to be with our family!  We so look forward to this time.
---------------------------------------------------------------

Here is what I've been wearing lately.  It's actually been a mix of shorts and pants, if you can believe it.  We've still had some cool/cold days!

First let me show you these pants, because they have a story.
I bought these for $5 on clearance.  I bought them because they are big.  At the time I couldn't find a good boyfriend fit so I bought these wide leg pants and thought I could make them work, by sewing in the bottoms.

Well, that is as far as I got with this project!  I cut the bottoms to the length I wanted, then didn't repin the leg to sew.  They've just been sitting there.
I also found some great boyfriend jeans, so... my urgency for finishing these did indeed dwindle/halt completely.
See how I've wore them HERE.

Now, here we are at summer time and I want baggy shorts!  New project!  I shouldn't really say 'project'.  I just put these on, made a cut where I wanted the length and lay them out on my rotary mat, then cut!
I don't intend to finish any edges, I want them frayed!
Love!  Baggy is in this year and they are actually hard to find in a length I want.

I cut some shorts off last year too!  They were capri length... Check it out.

I've been wearing these a bunch.  Here is just one shot for your viewing pleasure!  Can you say comfy?

I don't know why I took a picture of me in this... work day!
Yes, we should even get dressed on a day where we just sweat and work all day... and wonder what we accomplished at the end of the day!  I'm digging the bright color combo.

I also needed my hair maintenance free, thus this hair do...

Now, some looks with a little more effort to them, although not much!

 sandals: Target

I've already set out clothes for myself, for our trip.  My clothes are my friends and I miss them all when I'm gone!  As I get back at the end of summer, I'm always bummed that I didn't wear a bunch of my stuff.  Since I've set out my vacation clothes I'm trying to focus on wearing all of my other stuff before I go.
This should be fun!

Stay tuned for the post on what I'm taking with me on my trip.
What would be in your suitcase if you had to condense down for a trip?

None of what I'm wearing is new this season, or I'd tell you where I got it!
