What I'm Wearing

Oh blogging, I wish I could figure you all out!
Oh me, I wish I could figure you all out!

I went for it a couple of weeks ago.  I began a blog, specifically for my clothing posts.

I don't know that crafters care what I'm wearing, I don't know that fashionista's care much about my printables.... but there is a portion of bloggers that encompass all... I just don't know them all yet!

I've thought about it, and I feel good about my choice... mostly I love posting daily about something as simple as what I'm wearing!  It's a good place to go on an on about this part of my life, that really I love!  You should for sure come and follow me there!

So, what do I do with Wednesday's here?  I think this day will turn into a day I explain why I make the choices I do.

One day a friend of mine said to me... I bet you see it in your head first right?

She's right, I do!  I think about what I have, how the pieces should fit together, color, my body shape, how to accessorize, all of it!

Maybe my thoughts will help you be more courageous with your choices, feel more confident with what you choose to wear.

So, to begin, let me tell you all about this fabulous outfit I wore to church a couple of weeks ago...
Strike a pose!

I got this fab skirt at Target, for like $6.  I LOVE it, and thought it would be no problem to style.
Then I put it on... hmmmm.  This one didn't come to mind before I wore it.

Since the skirt is blousy, right from the waist I wanted a shirt I could tuck in.
Not all shirts are equally created to be tucked in!
If I wore a top that hung over the waist band there would be no shape because the skirt poofs out.

I thought about a button up, but felt it might compete with my skirt, which I wanted to be the showpiece!

I decided on a simple black tee that has a little bit of volume.
Later in the year I have a short fitted sweater that is pink.  I think it will look great with this!

I also think it would be ok to wear a tighter fitting top with this skirt, because the bottom is fuller.

Shoes were super easy, you could do any color!
I chose black because, I was going for a diva look and the snake skin delivers!

The jacket was necessary because it was cold that day.
This was the debut of this leather number I also got at Target for like $11!  I know!

This one did pop into my head.  When in doubt, layer!
I ended up liking it more with the jacket.
It adds a little more diva!

Never underestimate the power of hair and accessories!
Supermodels wear the slick pony tail and it looks editorial to me!  I went with it!

Normally I am known to add a pop of color with my accessories, but again, I was going with a certain look and feel, so bold, but gray.

On my shape it is so important to create a shape along my waist.
I have no shape up top, so I have to create it by slimming at my waist!

Have any questions about your shape and what would look best?
Any styling questions?
Let me have 'em!

Happy Wednesday!
