Fruit Flower Arrangement

I found this, moving it over to here. I was looking back through my stuff and it's been a few years since I've posted our holiday decor. Hmmm, I'll be back to remedy that! For now, here is a flower arrangement I did last year. I still have it, it's in our dining room for the holiday season.

I had a little area on the shelf in our dining room that needed a little something.
It had been a while since I'd made a flower arrangement and the space needed something soft.
So, headed to JoAnn's and got myself some holiday flowers and such.

Was inspired by those little fruit guys, so I found some winter greens, some purple, because it goes well with my orange room, then some gold...

Found a little ceramic guy on sale, watch for scale, generally small arrangement = smaller container. The space I'm filling calls for a shorter, full arrangement.

Start with foam, this is old foam from making cake pops!

I cut all of the stems way down because... shorter arrangement.
Started in the center with my taller purples.
Filled in fruits around edges.
Cut greens and put them in at random.
Gold went in last.

As a general rule keep things odd, 3 purple stems, added 4 fruits = 7. Nature tends to act in odds, it's harmonious for the eye.

End result...

Pretty thrilled with it! Now you try!
