Last Week Before School

Today is half over and I'm still in jammies.
My task today was to get supplies ready for school.  Of course I started by pulling out old supplies, then got into the kids rooms and we have a new organization project!!!
We went through G's desk and cleaned, threw away, organized all of his things.
We've not gone through Q's desk yet, but she spent time organizing and cleaning toys.  We moved her polly house (my mom's old doll house) to the basement and put furniture, clothes and such into totes.
Need a better display solution for Q, she is a collector and if I don't designate a spot it is everywhere and that stresses me out!

Onto school supplies, we'll head out to get the rest of our things.  I'm not all about re buying everything.  We've got a ton of pencils, pick 10!  Your colored pencils look great, go with it!  I've not bought pink erasers for years!  It bothers me that each year they ask for a number of composition notebooks and they write on a total of 3 pages!!!  Grrrr!  The kids keep them and use the paper, but really?  Really?  3 new books that they aren't using.  Whatever!

Also on the docket today, calling the studio to see when I teach:  check... Thursday nights.
Still need to call about the horse riding lessons, need to find that number...
Laundry and vacuuming, some photography work and more cleaning and organizing.

Let's review these past few days
SUNDAY...

My toenail fell off!  Finally.  It was bruised after the marathon, then got a giant blister under it.  I thought it may have a chance for survival, because I've kept it thus far.  It blistered last week, and I could feel it starting to pull away at the cuticle.  It doesn't hurt, probably because that skin has had time to toughen a little, protected by the nail.  It looks odd for sure!  I may just paint my skin...

I actually scrapped a little yesterday.  I need to assign days to work on all of the things I love.  I did a LO for Mother's Day.  It felt good, although it took me some searching and time to remember all of the things I have and where it all is.  I really have so much paper crafting stuff I never need to buy again, but I DO need to start recording again.

I read a lot yesterday.  Melissa brought me some chocolate cake for my Bday.  It was super good!  We watched AFV as a fam, with popcorn.  I subbed in nursery at church, happy to help out.

SATURDAY

The triathalon!  It went well!  I'll have to do a post on that all to itself.  BUT, loved it!  I finished first in my age group, got a nice little medal and all!  I was the 12 overall female.
It was a great experience!  I loved doing it with Melissa and Megan, all of us first timers.  I'm so glad Molly came because of course she is my buddy!  She took photos of us, drove and racked all of our bikes, cheered us on and was right there for all of it!  I'll do a post for it, but here is a photo courtesy of Megan...

After the tri we stayed and played at the beautiful beach, I had loaded the car so it would be easy for Matt.  The Lewis' stayed as well.  It was so fun, it's such a nice beach!

I was starving so we left, came home, got the kids showered, then M made a fire and we sat out and roasted marshmallows.  So relaxing and fabulous.  We didn't do one fire last year!  Crazy!  I loved it, the kids did too.

FRIDAY

Boring, I updated my finances, got stuff packed, did some errands.  We went and looked at unfinished doll furniture.  Michaels actually has some.  Q is very excited at the thought of painting and decorating all of that furniture!

The girls came and got me around 5:30.  We went and got Megan, then headed to Rochester.  I crafted during the drive, made some cute covered bracelets.  You can see the idea here at my PINTEREST.  We got our race packets first then went to eat at PFChang's... yum!!!  We stayed at Megan's brother's house.  Moll and I stayed up visiting for a while, until our eyes fell shut.

Oh and by the way, M ended up getting me a new laminating machine for my bday.  My old one went out, the rollers just stopped rolling.  It made me sad.  I'll be glad to have my new one.
