A jar full of memories

I have been getting this gift ready tonight (for a church activity tomorrow). It is a gift of me, for someone else. I decided the thing I would share about myself is my love of writing, journaling. If I never scrapped again, I would still be an avid memory keeper, through words.

So, I'm giving a journal that I altered/covered, along with a bucket full of journaling prompts. My grandma Cooper gave these to my dad. I have a copy of them and I've decided each day I'll pull one out and write/type.

The poem/thought is this:
A Jar Full Of Memories
If keeping a journal is hard to do,
And you can't find the time to write about you.
No need to worry, to ponder, to strain
Nor anything else that taxes the brain!
This little jar is all that you need
Just pull out one strip, unroll, and read.
A question is there and the answers you all know.
A journal about you will be written with ease.
As you empty the jar full of memories.

I challenge you to do the same. Take these prompts and be inspired by them. Write your history. If not for your children and grandchildren, for you. So, I'll be posting one each day. Writing my history for me and my family. I encourage you to do the same.

We'll start tomorrow!

*** Update on the house... the kitchen has been painted, when we get everything back up I'll photograph it!!! I am in LOVE with the color. It is perfect! LOOOOOOVE it!
