Give the Gift of Hot Chocolate!

Our advent yesterday was 'a gift from mom'.

My gift to the kids was a hot chocolate bar!

I stocked our fridge with whip cream, got myself a tea pot, and put out all the fixins so we can have hot chocolate whenever we want!

The kids have been very into hot chocolate for the past few months and I don't love to make it!  Seriously, I know, it's not that hard!  I don't love getting all the stuff out.

It's a totally different story with everything already out.

They LOVED this gift!

We got all creative with our hot chocolate last night.  I can't wait to try a bunch of different combinations.  I'd still like to get a couple of syrups, but this is what we have for now.

I bought each of the kids a cocoa mug, because we don't have any, if you can believe it!

We have small coffee mugs, but those aren't good for hot cocoa.  You have to have room to build up and stir without your creation spilling over.

We buy the big tub of Swiss Miss in bulk.  I just put it in a glass jar, so it looks nice out on the counter.

Of course we must have marshmallows.  The kids eyes were huge when I put a bunch in each of their mugs last night!  Usually they put one or two in.  Tis the season!

I have candy cane that I broke apart, toffee pieces, white chocolate, butterscotch chips, mint chocolate and a couple extra flavors of hot chocolate.

You can grab a little candy cane to eat or drop it in too!  Also a variety of Andes mints to go along, or melt them in there too!

Some paper straws, they don't melt with the heat!

I love this addition!  I don't usually drink hot chocolate, but will totally indulge a bit this season!

Q had hot chocolate for breakfast!

We don't normally consume this much hot chocolate, but things like this make this time of year magical!
