Back for Seconds...

I love me some 'trash' from the side of the road!
NY is fabulous, just set your stuff on the side of the road, trash collectors take it all... all that we dumpster divers don't get to, that is!

I picked up this old chair from the side of the road a while back, the next week there was a twin from the same house... maybe in a month I'll have a whole set!

I love the retro design of this chair.
My plan was to fix 'er up a bit, by that I mean stitch that seam back together, then, cover one for the boys room and one for a photo prop.

I had a shoot on Saturday so I covered this first chair.
I love a good facelift!  I ADORE this fabric... I need chairs to cover just because there are so many great fabrics out there, and I don't really sew... gotta find reasons I bought this fabulous fabric right?

I even made this cute headband for baby to wear for the shoot... matching the chair...

Of course I forgot to load the chair into my car... so, no chair for the shoot!  I was so bummed, I covered this chair for this shoot!  ARgggg.

So, next client... this is what we are using!

Fortunately I bring enough choices that I was fine for the shoot, just sad that I didn't get to use this.

Speaking of the shoot I also made this headband to match baby girl's easter dress, loved that look!

I'll be posting some of those soon, over at ccmcafeephotography the blog.

  1. One of my favorite things about being green is reusing (or repurposing) things that others would throw away. My teenage son is already wanting to start hitting garage sales and thrift shops, but we're in the grip of a blizzard right now! You are one talented lady!!
